And what a view it is

found on Evil Milk

Imagine hating privacy... I could stop there, but imagine hating privacy so much that you do this to a space that is already notorious for not being private enough. It seems alien, but this clearly took extra effort above and beyond just erecting normal bathroom stalls.

Don't expect to get privacy if you don't give it

found on Izismile

When was the last time you gave your four-legged friend privacy when they did their business? How's that little dog supposed to even know what privacy is if it's never been given to them?

Don't look him in the eye

from here (image source)

I know it's not that we don't value privacy, but there are certainly times when we don't act like we value it. Public washrooms a good example of that. For all the problems they have it seems like no one is trying to design them better and some people are obviously designing them worse.

Keep everything locked down so nothing gets out

from here and here (image source)

Considering what can travel through the pipes, I think this may have legitimate applications in some areas. Thankfully I don't personally live in those areas.

Signs that privacy might be dead

from here and here (image source)

As much as we might hate to admit it, there are many signs out there that people just don't think that privacy is valuable anymore. This public restroom is one such example. I've heard that sharing is caring, but I can't decide which is worse: pooping with friends or pooping with strangers.

Are there any privacy settings for that?

from here and here

Ever have one of those dreams where you're naked in school? I think being caught attending a parliamentary session from the comfort of the commode beats that hands down, especially since it's not a dream. Unfortunately I don't think there's any way for the software to protect you from making that kind of lapse in judgement.

Think behind the box

from here and here (image source)

Sometimes compromises have to be made. Circumstances aren't always ideal and we have to do the best with what we've got. That isn't to say that privacy isn't valuable, but other things are valuable too and we can't always avoid conflicting interests.

At least they're being transparent about it

Sometimes you have to wonder about the so-called privacy policies that companies are always updating. Do they even deserve to be called that?

Who wants to go first?

from here and here (image source)

Something has to be done about our insatiable need to stick computers into things that don't need them. They just wind up spying on us and I don't know about you but that is one place I would rather not be spied upon.

It certainly isn't to contain the smell

found on Izismile

I've seen that public washroom image before and I certainly recognized the lack of privacy but I'm not sure I ever questioned why anyone bothered with transparent walls. It's an excellent question.

I wouldn't be smiling

found on Izismile

On the plus side, at least you get a warning and can look around for the camera and obscure it's view before you go. It would be worse if you didn't know about it.

At least people know when they shouldn't enter

from here and here (image source)

I don't know about you but I'd rather just have a lock.

Shitty privacy

from here (image source)

I can think of one way to improve the privacy in that bathroom stall using only what you have on hand, but it's a little messy. Toddlers know how to do it.

Purrivacy Please

found on I Can Has Cheezburger Animals

If you don't give privacy, you probably shouldn't expect to get privacy.

The answer is "yes"

found on Cats Are Silly

Cats can have privacy as soon as they start respecting ours.

If you don't respect others' privacy, why should they respect yours?

Mr. Whiskers should have thought about privacy before he barged in on his humans. Reciprocity goes a long way.

When you've got to go on the go

from here and here (image source)

I may complain about the lack of privacy in public washrooms, but at least in those cases there's a room. It's not right in the middle of the street. Can you imagine the traffic lights for this? Or the skid marks?

Can you see the problem?

from here (image source)

This looks like it's supposed to be a shower curtain, but I'm not sure it would be any better there since that's just another place where people would prefer to be private. Why would anyone make a clear curtain? What was it meant to accomplish?

The filthiest of lucres

from here

I couldn't find anything that conclusively said that the digital currency was a cryptocurrency, or that the power generated by these special toilets actually contributed to the creation of the digital coins, but that's certainly an easy inference to make in 2021.
