There's a pretty surprising detail about the alleged leaker of classified documents on discord. I'm not sure how such a character trait slips through the vetting process. There IS a vetting process, right? I'm sure they don't just give every Tom, Dick, and Harry top secret clearance. Right?!

I wonder how it works. I imagine it's sending some kind of energy but is it frying the drone's electronics or just interfering with the control signal so that the drone operator can no longer tell it where to go?

It seems to me that if you're part of an elite military force you probably should be skilled enough to deal with a lone kook with sword and a costume. Otherwise your enemies abroad are going to get ideas.

Not all threat models are created equal. Some are just plain useless. What's pictured above is not a realistic threat, it's not something you have to plan for. More likely it's an eccentric war museum or an attempt to help a coral reef grow. But people who aren't good at evaluating threat models could certainly look at it and think it represents an actual military force instead of a military farce.
