Fraudulently reporting sites as malware seems like the kind of scam that should be obviously illegal. I'm not sure how the consequences of his actions haven't caught up to him yet.

There's a couple of ways I can think of to have fun with these. Generally the ideal is to try and trigger false alarms. Mischief shouldn't be at someone else's expense, though, so tread lightly.

I'm probably an outlier in the fact that I never receive actual spam in my Gmail account, but I do get spam false positives just like everybody else. I wish they'd make it easier to check my spam folder since legit email ends up there so often.

I think we've all encountered antivirus that was a little overly sensitive, but thankfully I've never experienced a false positive quite this bad.

I'm sure the couple that mistook their robot vacuum for a home intruder are glad it was only a false alarm. I guess it was good practice in the event they ever do have a home intruder - or it'll train them to ignore the warning signs of a home intruder and they'll get a nasty surprise.
