It's either some very brave/brazen thieves, or it's an indictment on the quality of police work the local police force is capable of. If they're so bad at their jobs that thieves don't fear getting caught then it's no wonder they do this.

Stealing an entire building certainly seems like a new twist on property theft. What are you supposed to do to prevent it? Locking your doors and windows won't do anything. Are you supposed to get a giant bicycle lock and chain the cabin to a tree?

Of course with the chain on the outside the squirrels aren't actually keeping anybody out, but I've seen humans make equivalent blunders.
