Fishing for a fisherman
Watch on YouTube
I don't think the alligator was planning to take up fishing, but it was inadvertently (I hope) baiting the fishing rod's owner to retrieve his property, and if the owner had been less cautious then he might have wound up being the alligator's lunch. Judging by the comments on the video, some others would have definitely been gator food.

Get yourself some guard geese
Watch on YouTube
If this had been just one goose I think the story would have had a very different ending, but not even a gator wants to deal with a whole gaggle of geese. Maybe we should have trained guard geese.

TIL how to counter a gator attack
![]() |
| found on Reddit |
I know, I know, don't believe everything you read on the Internet, especially things on Reddit, but someone on Reddit did the leg-work and it seems there's a real news article about it.
So the question I now have is this: does it work on crocodiles as well? Anyone want to test it?

Get you some guard geese
Watch on YouTube
They must be part honey badger because clearly these geese don't care that the gator is larger than them and could eat them. They're chasing that threat away regardless.
