I could see hiding packages from porch pirates, but hiding them from an occupant represents a much different threat model. In the event that you really need to hide packages from your husband, it might be better to use a strategy that focuses on you retrieving them before your husband has a chance to become aware of them rather than hoping the delivery person finds a good hiding spot that you can find but your husband can't.

Learning that a bunch of drugs were seized with Nazi flags on them really only brings to mind one question: Who the fuck is putting Nazi flags on things in 2023? You've got to be living under a really big rock to think people in the outside world are just going to let that slide. You could put the Nazi flag on peanut butter and it's still going to draw suspicion.

There's probably a lot wrong with this idea, like the fact that it will make it unsafe for unarmed bystanders because everyone will have to be assumed to be armed with one of these and armed forces would have to shoot them as soon as they tried to raise their arms to surrender. It's never a good idea to make real surrender less safe.

Not that I'm condoning killing people (goodness knows there's enough death going on already), but this would be an excellent example of using cover to disguise or otherwise hide your activities.

When I was that age I would not have had the balls to try to hide out in the open like this. I did win a game of hide and seek by hiding underneath a couch, but this little chameleon figured out how to blend in right in plain sight.

I suppose most defensive stealth is attempting to avoid death, but usually it doesn't involve becoming temporarily dead in the process.

Banning backpacks really doesn't seem like an effective countermeasure to prevent gun violence. If you try to ban everything that a student might hide a gun inside then pretty soon kids will have to come to school naked.

I frequently joke about camouflage items being invisible, but in this case if you're the kind of person who would wear camouflage socks then probably all your other clothes are camouflage as well, and in that case good luck differentiating these socks from all the other camo items in your laundry.

Pretty sure a large breed dog wouldn't be able to pull this off quite as convincingly, but maybe they'd be able to blend into something else.

There isn't really any such thing as a security camera. Camera's don't make things more secure, they don't prevent unwanted outcomes, they simply help in catching people after the fact. The best they can hope to do as far as prevention is to serve as a deterrent, but for that to work they have to be plainly visible, not hidden in a mural. People are less likely to be deterred by a turtle looking at them than they are by an obvious camera looking at them.

The problem with using video game logic to keep things secure (besides the inaccuracies in video games) is the fact that games are designed so that you can win, so things like hidden doorways aren't actually hidden all that well.
This really will keep things secure from NPCs, though, because NPCs don't exist in the real world.
