Imagine the kind of statement this makes. Not only did the allied forces go to the trouble of producing a fake wooden bomb, they used real fuel to fly over and deliver it to it's target. They were so well informed about what the enemy was up to and so well prepared that they could afford to troll the enemy in such a demoralizing way. I bet this made the Germans think twice about using this tactic again.

I imagine you can use your real name on these false identification documents, since the point isn't to mask hide your identity but rather to hide your origin. I just wonder how good a job they do now that there are YouTube videos about them, though.

If you're going to try to hide your real identity by giving out a fake one, you might want to invest some time and effort into making sure you use a name that doesn't invite closer scrutiny.

The obvious goal of this is to get you to slow down, and it might even work when you see it in the distance, but I wonder how many people would speed up purely out of spite once they realize they've been tricked.

As long as you don't look at the feet you might be fooled by this, and by extension you might be fooled into being on your best behaviour and not doing any crimes in that store.
