I can only assume that when these two felons were planning their escape from prison they spent a little too much time fantasizing about what the first thing they'd do when they got out was and not enough time planning how to stay out. I like pancakes as much as anyone, but not enough to go back to jail for.

We usually don't consider cows to be clever, thinking creatures. It probably makes it easier for us to eat them if we don't. But it turns out they are smarter than you might expect, so if you have cows you better be prepared for that.

This is good info but it comes with an equally good caveat - don't try this with cops (as much as you might want to right now). If you're dealing with kidnappers there's probably only a handful of them, but with police you could be looking at an army of officers.

From time to time I think we all need a little reminder that our adversaries (even the 4 legged variety) may be smarter or more talented (or stronger) than we give them credit for. Underestimate them and you can expect an unwelcome surprise

One of the ways you can underestimate an adversary is failing to account for accomplices. Just because someone can't do a particular thing on their own doesn't mean they don't know someone who can help them.

Whether it's a prison escape, a sandbox escape, a crib escape, or a puppy gate escape, escape is always possible. It's just a matter of how long it takes to find and exploit the inevitable weakness. Usually you hope it'll be more than a couple minutes (unless you're the one trying to escape).

You should never underestimate your adversary, but sometimes it's hard to know who is an adversary, even when you're putting them behind bars.

Clearly efforts were made to contain this baby, to work against what the baby wanted. That makes the baby an adversary, and obviously they were underestimated.

Houdini is a cute dog, but if he's going to live up to his name he's going to have to keep escaping even when locks are used.

And if Houdini's owners want that enclosure to actually be useful for something, they're going to have to start using locks.
