edward snowden: the facebook meme

found with google image search

so, sometimes memes aren't funny. internet memes are really about what's worth sharing (because sharing is the replicated behaviour) - humour works a lot but sometimes other things, like showing support, work as well.

i think it's interesting that people feel so strongly about this man and what he's done that they actually made this kind of meme to show their support for him.

remember when we were kids and pop-up meant that pictures unfolded as you turned the page? can you imagine your younger self coming to the future and seeing your browser proudly announcing that it had blocked pop-ups?

i use the same technique with my email addresses to find out which site gives my address to spammers. thank goodness for disposable email address services. probably a lot cleaner than disposable baby services.

of bandits and bad disguises

found on imgfave

one of the reasons bad guys wear disguises is to fool people into thinking the bad guys belong there. simply changing your voice really doesn't cut it unless you're only dealing with blind people.

direct cash is gonna be fast cash soon enough

thanks to jerome segura for tweeting this. the obvious robbery scenario is one that would definitely not go off without a hitch. the hitch would be required to attach this thing to your truck.

well, now. when it comes to the all seeing eye of mass surveillance, that's a pretty good representation.
