now there's a handsome devil

from here (source image)

(channeling jack nickelson's portrayal of the joker)
what kind of a world do we live in, where a man who blows up part of boston becomes a teen heart throb?

the most dangerous tattoo in the world

from here (source image one and two)

once upon a time it used to be a big deal that encryption software was controlled as though it were a munition, much like the hoopla that's currently going on about the 3D printable plastic guns.

this isn't the only person to get the RSA encryption algorithm in 3 lines of perl code tattooed on his/her body in protest, but this is the only one i've found with an explanation of what it was as part of the tattoo.

original tweet

this is an excellent re-imagining of the famous guy fawkes verse, with the subject being changed to the reaction to the september 11th, 2001 terrorist attack.

hard to believe eric schmidt now wants to protect privacy against something that bares such a striking resemblance to one of google's own projects. frankly it seems more likely that he's jealous that google didn't think of it first - drones can go a lot more places than cars can, and you don't have to worry about getting stuck in traffic.

keep calm

found on decodeingress

thanks to martin mckeay for bringing this to my attention. i wonder what other security-related variations of the keep calm meme could be made.

if you reduce your security...

if you reduce your security to the point where you easily get pwned, you might be a security idiot

(inspiration by a company that really shouldn't be inspiring this sort of thing)
